The Type 8/24 hp was presented to the public in Berlin, at the 1911 International Automobile Exhibition, the last of its kind before WWI. Its concept was so balanced that the model remained the basic model in the NSU automobile range for 15 years. New features included the modern oval radiator with the new NSU logo of the "Neckarsulmer Fahrzeugwerke AG" and the interior gearshift. The vehicle was available as a two-seater, as a Double Phaeton, as a Landaulet and as a saloon.
