Audi 14/35 hp, Type C "Alpine Victor", 1914

August Horch's third Audi model, the Type C, officially designated Audi 14/35 hp (14 tax hp, 35 engine hp), was presented in 1911 and was one of his best and most fully developed designs. The "Type C" truly proved its mettle when it victoriously completed the Austrian Alpine Rally – one of the toughest motorsport endurance races of that era – three times in succession from 1912 to 1914. The vehicle in the picture is the winning vehicle from 1914. It was donated to the Deutsches Museum in Munich by August Horch himself.
