The Audi Type C was presented for the first time in 1911. In the same year, a further 28 units left the Zwickau factory. Measured by its sporting successes and by the number of vehicles sold, the Audi Type C was the most successful model up to the merger of the company with Auto Union AG in 1932. During the First World War, the good performance and the reliability of the Audi 14/35 hp made it very popular in the motorised divisions of the Imperial Army.
