Wanderer motorcycle 2 hp, 1914

Motorcycle production at Wanderer commenced in 1902 and was the logical expansion of the company’s bicycle range. As well as the one-cylinder models, a model with two cylinders in a V-type configuration was introduced from 1910. This two-version model-range was continued up until the end of the 1920s. Spring 1914 saw the appearance of the 2hp model with a modern side valve enginge and a capacity of 251 cc. This bike thus pioneered the practice of dividing motorcycles into 250 cc and 500 cc models which later became the norm in motorcycle construction.
